1. About these Terms

These Terms of Use apply to your access to and use of the Voss Meals website, meal generator, recipe email service and related content and features, collectively referred to as the Site.

The Site is operated by:

By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you should not use the Site.

2. About Voss Meals

Voss Meals provides recipes, meal suggestions and general food and nutrition information.

The Site may allow users to:

• generate meal suggestions based on selected preferences;
• view recipes and estimated nutritional information;
• adjust recipe serving quantities;
• request that a recipe be sent by email;
• subscribe to recipes and nutrition-related communications; and
• access other food, meal-planning and nutrition-related content.

The services and features available through the Site may change over time.

3. General information only

Voss Meals provides general information and is not a medical, dietetic or healthcare service.

Content available through the Site is not intended to:

• diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical condition;
• replace advice from a doctor, accredited practising dietitian or another appropriately qualified health professional;
• provide an individual medical or dietary treatment plan; or
• determine whether a particular food, recipe or dietary approach is suitable for you.

You should seek appropriate professional advice before making significant dietary changes, particularly if you:

• have a medical condition;
• are pregnant or breastfeeding;
• take medication;
• have food allergies or intolerances;
• have specialised nutritional requirements; or
• have a history of disordered eating.

Do not delay or disregard professional medical advice because of information provided through Voss Meals.

4. Nutrition information

Calories, macronutrients, micronutrients, serving quantities and other nutritional values displayed through the Site are estimates.

Actual values may differ because of factors including:

• product brands;
• ingredient substitutions;
• natural variations between foods;
• cooking and preparation methods;
• serving sizes;
• measurement accuracy; and
• changes made by the user.

Voss Meals does not guarantee that every nutritional value is exact or that a recipe will meet your individual nutritional requirements.

You are responsible for determining whether a meal is appropriate for your needs.

5. Allergies and dietary requirements

Dietary labels such as vegan, vegetarian, dairy-free and gluten-free option are provided as general guidance.

These labels do not guarantee that:

• every packaged ingredient is free from a particular allergen;
• ingredients have not been exposed to cross-contamination;
• a manufacturer has not changed a product's formulation;
• every product available under the same name has identical ingredients; or
• a meal is safe for a person with a diagnosed allergy or medical condition.

You must check product labels, allergen statements and manufacturer information before preparing or consuming a meal.

Anyone with a serious food allergy must take appropriate precautions and should seek professional advice where required.

6. Permitted use

Voss Meals grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to access and use the Site in accordance with these Terms.

You may:

• use the meal generator for personal and household purposes;
• prepare and adapt recipes for personal use;
• print or save a reasonable number of recipes for personal use; and
• share links to publicly available Voss Meals pages.

You must not use Voss Meals content as part of a commercial product or service without prior written permission from Voss Meals.

This restriction includes use by:

• personal trainers;
• health and fitness professionals;
• physiotherapy or rehabilitation clinics;
• diet, nutrition or meal-planning businesses;
• publishers;
• mobile or web applications; and
• other organisations providing content to clients or customers.

Separate commercial licences may become available.

7. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• scrape, crawl, harvest or systematically extract recipes, data or Site content;
• use bots, scripts, artificial intelligence systems or automated tools to copy or collect Site content without permission;
• reproduce, republish, sell, license or commercially distribute Voss Meals content;
• copy substantial parts of the recipe library into another website, application, database, document or publication;
• remove copyright, branding or ownership notices;
• falsely claim that you created or own Voss Meals content;
• suggest an affiliation with or endorsement by Voss Meals without permission;
• reverse engineer or attempt to access non-public parts of the Site;
• interfere with the Site's operation, security or availability;
• introduce malware, harmful code or disruptive material;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, accounts or information;
• use the Site for unlawful, fraudulent, misleading or abusive purposes; or
• help another person engage in any prohibited activity.

Normal search-engine indexing and sharing links to publicly available pages are permitted.

8. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise stated, the Site and its content are owned by or licensed to Voss Meals.

This includes, to the extent protected by law:

• original recipe descriptions and instructions;
• written nutrition information;
• photographs and images;
• graphics and illustrations;
• branding and logos;
• website design and layout;
• software and code;
• databases and recipe collections; and
• the selection, organisation and arrangement of Site content.

Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of Voss Meals intellectual property to you.

You may not use the Voss Meals name, logo, branding or content in a way that suggests sponsorship, approval or affiliation without prior written permission.

9. Information and feedback you provide

You may provide feedback, suggestions, corrections, reviews or other communications to Voss Meals.

You confirm that material you provide:

• is accurate to the best of your knowledge;
• does not infringe another person's rights;
• is not unlawful, defamatory, threatening, discriminatory or abusive; and
• does not contain malware or harmful material.

You retain ownership of original material you provide.

However, you grant Voss Meals a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use feedback and suggestions for the purpose of operating, developing and improving the Site.

Voss Meals will not publicly identify you in connection with feedback without permission unless disclosure is required by law.

10. Recipe emails and communications

When you request a recipe by email, Voss Meals will use the email address provided to send the requested recipe.

Voss Meals does not guarantee that every email will be successfully delivered. Delivery may be affected by:

• an incorrect email address;
• spam or junk-mail filtering;
• email-provider restrictions;
• technical faults;
• service outages; or
• circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Requesting a recipe does not automatically subscribe you to ongoing marketing.

Marketing communications will only be sent where you have opted in or where sending them is otherwise permitted by law.

You can withdraw your marketing consent by:

• using the unsubscribe facility provided in a marketing email; or
• contacting vossmeals@gmail.com.

11. Privacy

The Voss Meals Privacy Policy explains how personal information is collected, used, stored and disclosed.

By submitting personal information through the Site, you acknowledge that it will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

You are responsible for ensuring information you provide is accurate and that you have authority to provide it.

12. Third-party services

The Site relies on third-party services and platforms, which may include:

• Framer;
• Google Sheets;
• Google Apps Script;
• Gmail;
• website hosting providers;
• analytics providers;
• email providers; and
• other technical and communication services.

Those services may operate under their own terms and privacy policies.

Voss Meals does not control the independent operation, availability, security or practices of third-party providers.

The Site may also contain links to external websites. A link does not necessarily mean that Voss Meals endorses or accepts responsibility for that website, its products, its services or its content.

13. Site availability and changes

Voss Meals aims to keep the Site available and functioning but does not guarantee uninterrupted, secure or error-free access.

The Site may occasionally be unavailable because of:

• planned maintenance;
• technical problems;
• software updates;
• security concerns;
• hosting or internet failures;
• third-party service interruptions; or
• circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Voss Meals may add, remove, modify, suspend or discontinue Site content and features where reasonably necessary.

Voss Meals may also correct errors in recipes, nutritional information and other Site content without prior notice.

Where practical, changes will not be made in a way that unfairly removes rights relating to an existing paid purchase or service.

14. No guaranteed outcomes

Voss Meals does not guarantee that using the Site or following its recipes will result in:

• weight loss or weight gain;
• improved fitness;
• improved health;
• prevention or treatment of illness;
• achievement of a particular nutrient intake; or
• any other specific outcome.

Results vary between individuals and depend on factors outside the control of Voss Meals.

Examples, general statements and testimonials about possible benefits must not be interpreted as guarantees of individual results.

15. Food preparation and safety

You are responsible for:

• purchasing appropriate ingredients;
• checking use-by and best-before dates;
• assessing the condition of ingredients;
• checking product labels and allergen warnings;
• handling and storing food safely;
• cooking ingredients thoroughly;
• following appropriate food-safety guidance;
• supervising children during food preparation; and
• determining whether a recipe is appropriate for you and anyone you serve.

Voss Meals is not the manufacturer, seller or supplier of ingredients purchased from third parties.

16. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

Where applicable law gives you rights that cannot be excluded, those rights will prevail over any inconsistent provision in these Terms.

Australian consumer guarantees continue to apply where relevant, and standard-form consumer contracts must not contain unfair terms.

17. Limitation of liability

Subject to any rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded, and to the maximum extent permitted by law, Voss Meals is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from your use of or reliance on the Site.

This may include loss arising from:

• reliance on estimated nutritional information;
• ingredient substitutions;
• failure to check labels, allergens or dietary suitability;
• food preparation or storage;
• interruption or unavailability of the Site;
• failed email delivery;
• third-party services; or
• unauthorised use of the Site.

Nothing in this section excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.

You should take reasonable steps to minimise any loss and stop using the Site if you believe continued use may cause harm.

18. Suspension or restriction

Voss Meals may suspend or restrict access to the Site where it reasonably believes this is necessary to:

• investigate a breach of these Terms;
• protect the Site, Voss Meals or other users;
• prevent unlawful, abusive or automated conduct;
• respond to a security threat; or
• comply with a legal obligation.

Where reasonably practical, any restriction will be limited to what is necessary in the circumstances.

19. Accounts and paid services

The Site may currently be used without creating an account.

If Voss Meals later introduces:

• user accounts;
• subscriptions;
• payments;
• premium features;
• saved recipes;
• meal-planning services; or
• commercial licences,

additional terms may apply.

Pricing, billing, renewal, cancellation and other relevant conditions will be made available before a user registers for or purchases the applicable service.

Nothing in any additional terms will remove consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

20. Changes to these Terms

Voss Meals may update these Terms to reflect:

• changes to the Site;
• new services or features;
• changes to business practices;
• changes to third-party providers; or
• changes to legal requirements.

Updated Terms will be published on the Site with a revised "Last updated" date.

Changes apply from the date they are published and will not retrospectively remove rights that have already accrued.

Your continued use of the Site after updated Terms are published indicates acceptance of the revised Terms.

21. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.

You and Voss Meals submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and courts entitled to hear appeals from them.

If you access the Site from outside Australia, you are responsible for complying with applicable local laws.

Nothing in this section removes any mandatory consumer protections that apply under the laws of your location.

22. General provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be read down or removed to the minimum extent necessary.

The remaining provisions will continue to apply.

A failure by Voss Meals to immediately enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce that provision later.

Headings are provided for convenience and do not affect the interpretation of these Terms.
